In our current pandemic society with isolation ever present, it is more easy than ever to fall into a dark state of mind. With every moment and interaction we have, with others or in our own mind, we are met with an opportunity to react in a positive or negative way. We can also decide how much meaning the moment holds. Drop Love Not Bombs was made with the intention to increase and spread the love, positivity, and meaning in everyday moments and interactions in this world.

Originally, this was meant to be a dream like face with beautiful hair, a heart stopping colourful mess of love in a face, but as my friends saw it, they noticed two creatures (usually dogs), dancing with each other.
I like to say now, either or, it's two souls becoming one.

Our evolution has seen humanity become self consumed by our own machinery. We have become so focused on technology and materialistic growth, that we have forgotten about nature.
We obsess with unnatural materials on a daily basis
Are so involved in our work that we are becoming what we made for ourselves. Reaching out to a butterfly that is flying away from us, unable to harmonize with nature any longer.
What is coming out of the faucet is a whole different story,
The psychedelic patterns can bring a sense of being high and out of reality. Whilst the colours and patterns look natural and crazy, they are really a self induced artificial high, created by our own need to escape. Especially in more recent years, with the advancement of technology, Where has human’s connection to nature gone? Where is our innocence and beauty before discovering machine? Is it in your fingertips?

You bring ease to my instincts

Soothing melodies as your smile lightens my glow
The leash from our conscious continues to grow
Further and further escaping into euphoria
Delicate shivers sweet and humble
Intent to keep me swirling
With a wicked rumble
My words can only fumble
Such numb sincerity affects my soul
Cave into the ease of your glow
Bliss intends to capture the energy of falling in love. The moment which mesmerizes and intoxicates us. Especially influenced by the feelings experienced when falling in love as a younger person, when everything is so fresh and so raw, experiencing the magic of love for the first time; just like the poem above, written at the time of Bliss' creation.

In high school I needed to come up with another art project for my final grade. I had a few raindrops already drawn in a page on my sketchbook, and one day while walking home from school I had an idea. I shook the branch of a tree to get the soft rainwater still on the leaves to drop onto the page. It made a natural flow with colour down the page, making the background of this piece. I was then doodling an outline of the flow and it turned into this creature. At that time, I was listening to the song "Crying Time" By Ray Charles, when he sang "Tears Are Only Rain To Make Love Grow". At that moment, the creature, became those lyrics; as the tears and rain fell from his sky, his insides grew as the sun.
